European Union at a Crossroads: Freedoms in a Federated Europe
Barbara Sloan, long-time Manager of the Library at the European Commission Delegation
in Washington, D.C., and Sophie Meunier, a scholar on the European Union at
Princeton University, will be making presentations on the effect of enlargement
on the European Union and EU legal information sources. An enlarged European
Union will be a more complex area for legal research than ever before. The complicated
institutional structure of the European Union makes the identification of the
appropriate source of information difficult. The presentation by a long-time
librarian and an EU scholar will aid both the novice and experienced international
law librarian. Please note: Barbara Sloan is retiring from the European Commission
this summer so this presentation will be a "last chance" to gain from
her extensive knowledge of EU documents and information sources.
