Two Law School Libraries
Honored with Law Library Publications Award
For Immediate Release
July 3, 2003
The Awards Committee of the American Association
of Law Libraries has selected two academic law
libraries as recipients of the 2003 Law Library
Publications Award for the useful and valuable
library materials they created to help librarians,
students and patrons.
The award for the print division was presented
to Catholic University for The Catholic Dimensions
of Legal Study: The Catholic University Law School
Annotated Bibliography. The committee judged
it to be well written and useful not only as a
curriculum tool within a Catholic law school but
also useful to demonstrate the interaction between
a religious institution and legal education.
The Suffolk University Law School Library Maps
was honored in the nonprint division. The committee
found this resource valuable for reference librarians
who are helping patrons or for patrons looking
on their own. It is both easy and fun to use.
The Law Library Publications Awards honor achievement
in creating in-house, user-oriented library materials
that are outstanding in quality and significance.
Creating in-house works may include but is not
limited to writing, compiling or editing print
or nonprint materials.
The award will be presented July 14 during the
AALL 96th Annual Meeting and Conference in Seattle
during the Association Luncheon.
