CRIV Charge

The committee shall facilitate communications between information vendors and the members of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Executive Board in matters relating to provision of information in any format.

The committee shall monitor complaints and provide constructive suggestions to vendors.

The committee shall foster a cooperative working relationship between librarians and information vendors.

The committee shall keep the membership informed of developments in legal publishing.

The committee represents the interests of all librarians, and neither it nor its members will represent or advocate for the benefit of any one publisher or information vendor.

Tracy L. Thompson

Tracy L. Thompson is the executive director of the New England Law Library Consortium (NELLCO). In that capacity she licenses content for more than 100 law libraries in the U.S. Canada and the U.K. NELLCO members include academic and state, court and county law libraries. Tracy has been a featured speaker on licensing and negotiation, most recently as a guest of VAALL and WESTPAC. She chaired the AALL Special Committee on Licensing Principles for Electronic Resources, and is the incoming chair of CRIV for 2007-2008.
