Research Librarian: Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, is seeking a Research Librarian to join its Research Department. The regular hours for the position are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. Consideration is being given to filling the position in any one of a number of GTs national offices, including, but not limited to, Denver, Phoenix, or Las Vegas. Duties include:

Position Title: Manager of Library Services Location: Dallas Position Overview: The primary responsibilities of the Manager of Library Services are to manage budget, cost recovery, and invoices; provide informal and formal training on library policies and procedures, subscriptions, and electronic resources; handle contract negotiations and manage contractual and non-contractual vendor relationships; and supervise library staff of four (4) librarians. The Manager also oversees the daily operations of the reference and research services; manual and computerized literature searching, and firm resources. The Manager represents the library to professional associations, legal and corporate libraries, publishers, vendors, and other organizations. The position involves multi-state, multi-branch responsibilities; attention to employee communications, productivity, work place, and technological developments, missions, goals, objectives; and contributing to the firm's overall reputation and profitability. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in library or information science required; course work in law librarianship or legal bibliography; Masters Degree in library or information science preferred; and a Juris Doctor degree is desirable. Minimum of 5 years of law library experience with managerial level duties, previous law firm experience desired. Extensive knowledge of on-line databases including Westlaw, Lexis, CourtLink, CourtExpress and 10K Wizard; Demonstrated ability to manage electronic resources and information; familiarity with current library technologies and diverse information systems; Strong leadership, management, problem solving, organizational and PC skills; Ability to select, develop and motivate people and create a positive team environment; Developed interpersonal skills to interact with employees and others outside the firm; Ability to effectively manage/adapt to multiple changing priorities; Accustomed to working as a team leader and member; Outstanding skills in legal reference, research, online services, and organizational planning; Demonstrated ability to meet obligations with confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity.
