Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP is a large Southwest regional law firm based in Los Angeles with 10 branch offices spread across California, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada. The Firm's core practice areas include: commercial and business litigation, general liability, real estate transactions and land use, employment and environmental law. The Reference Librarian supports attorneys, paralegals and other law firm staff.

Job Description:
Responsible for the Firm's small print library collection including acquisition, cataloging, invoicing and maintenance of materials in the Los Angeles office and coordinating the updating of items located in the branch offices. Maintains subscriptions for online services such as Westlaw, PACER, Lexis File & Serve and similar resources. Provides reference assistance to attorneys, paralegals and other law firm staff. Coordinates Firm's in-house Continuing Legal Education seminars and tracks attorney compliance with CLE requirements. Serves on Training Committee and provides library orientation and training to new attorneys and law clerks. Performs additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:
Previous law library employment or corporate library experience and familiarity with legal research services such as Westlaw or Lexis is required. Ideal candidate will be service-oriented, capable of managing and prioritizing various tasks and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with online document management systems and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint is highly desirable. MLS degree or some coursework towards MLS preferred.
