
| Instructional Services and Legal Research Librarian; University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law; Sacramento The Gordon D. Schaber Law Library seeks an enthusiastic candidate to be our next Instructional Services and Legal Research Librarian, who will provide reference, instructional, and outreach services to the law school community and participate actively in the Law School’s Global Lawyering Skills course. Candidates should have a global perspective on legal education, have the capacity to teach in the School of Law’s expansive Global Lawyering Skills course (legal process, legal research, legal writing, advocacy and lawyering skills), and the ability to work collaboratively in creative curriculum development, with a primary focus on legal research. The ideal candidate may teach Advanced Legal Research. The extent of teaching in Global Lawyering Skills or Advanced Legal Research, and level of curricular development responsibility may vary, based on previous work and professional experiences. The librarian level (Assistant, Associate, Full) will also be dependent upon skills and experience. The law library seeks to foster a participatory, collaborative professional environment: All law librarians serve on the library’s Collection Development Committee and participate in discussions involving long-range planning, library administration and management, and space planning.
