Board Present: President Brian Williams; Treasurer/Membership Chair Joshua Jones; Vice President/Programs Chair Pat Rusheen;
ABSENT: Secretary Tiffany O'Neil

Treasurer's Report submitted by Joshua Jones : approved.

Motion for Treasurer to develop current budget based on AALL template, subject to periodic revision. Passed.

Fall Institute Grants - The Board agrees that an email soliciting member application for individual Fall Institute Grants (2 total) ($40 per grant - [full attendee cost]) will be sent to the membership. Responsive grant applications should be emailed to Brian Williams at bwilliams@sandiego.edu . The Board will determine recipients of Fall Institute Grants via online communications.

VP/Programs - The Fall Institute (Handlery Hotel & Resort: Friday, Sept. 29, 2006; 8:00 am to 5:30 pm) sponsors include LexisNexis, Daily Journal, Wolters Kluwer, Thomson West, Legislative Research, Inc., and Hein On-Line. Programming is near complete. Unanimous thanks are given to the VP/Programs Chair. Online registration will be available (Thanks to Ruth Levor --- working with Program Chair to get online registration up and running).

Programs include an Interactive Workshop ("The Challenge of Change - Julie Webster-Matthews and Michael Saint-Onge, LexisNexis), Daniel E. Eaton, Seltzer Caplan speaking on "The Supreme Court Goes to the Library," Neil Packard, E-Diligent, on "E-Discovery," Mark Schwartz, Thomson West, on "Legal Research: Evolution to Revolution," and Webster-Matthews and Saint-Onge on 30 Sites/30 Minutes, LexisNexis.

Vast, sprawling dinner buffet and deserts - from 7pm to 9pm. The room is scheduled to midnight. We are investigating entertainment. Fees for the party -- proposing $20 per member; $30 per nonmember and guests. Limit is 1 guest per SANDALL member.
