MALL Winter Meeting March 9th, 2010

The Winter Business Meeting will be held at Hamline College of Law on March 9, 2010.
Change is in the air: New tools from Lexis and Westlaw
Just recently both Lexis and Westlaw announced new tools claiming to make legal research easier and more efficient. Lexis® for Microsoft Office allows you to access content and services from Lexis within Office applications. WestlawNext™ offers a clean user interface and new search functionality that provides increased productivity and confidence.
Can these new tools deliver? Or are these just changes for change’s sake?
Judge for yourself. Experts from Lexis and Thomson Reuters/West will be there to talk about the problems legal researchers with online search, and why these products solve those problems. Learn the “why” behind these products and gain a better understanding of these new research tools.
Dinner menu: Lasagna (Vegetarian and non-vegetarian), Caesar Salad (no anchovies died to make the dressing), Lemon Bars/Chocolate Bars for dessert.
