Librarian, Dept. of Corrections: Statewide Job Announcement Code(s): 11-04419 Salary: Starting annual salary is $37,891 and includes a comprehensive state benefits package. This position is included in pay schedule and range 13-01. A six month probationary period will be required.Special Qualifications: This position works twelve months per year. It supervises the custody and discipline of all prisoners in order to protect the public and seeks to rehabilitate offenders and reintegrate them into society. Responsibilities include the operation of the institution library, media center, and law library. This position provides libary services to inmates and staff and is responsible for the development and maintenance of book and other materials collections. Responsibilities may include the supervision of inmates assigned to the library. Current vacancy is located at the Stanley Correctional Institution in Stanley (Chippewa County).
