The Chicago Association of Law Libraries (CALL) connects a vibrant and diverse network of members by supporting the development of professional expertise; encouraging leadership, collaboration, and advocacy in the legal information community; and promoting and enhancing the field of law librarianship. CALL is a non-profit organization comprised of law librarians and other information professionals in the greater Chicago area. It was formed as a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) in 1947.

148 members voted in this year's election, a 52% return. Chaired by Sharon Nelson and with committee members Eugene Giudice, Lenore Glanz, and Sharon Nelson, the Elections Committee did an excellent job of organizing and informing and reminding CALL members to vote. A motion to destory the ballots will be made at the next CALL Business Meeting in May.

Second CALL-Up Networking Meeting Rescheduled
The Public Relations Committee announces the rescheduled second CALL-Up Networking event, a meetup for Chicago law librarians. The first CALL-Up went so well, there was high demand for more. The second CALL-Up will be held at English Bar & Restaurant, 444 N. LaSalle on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 5:30pm. This is intended to be a casual meetup for colleagues to mix and mingle. Show Your CALL Pride with a CALL T-Shirt!
CALL has designed T-shirts for you to show your CALL pride! T-shirts are available for pick-up at CALL Business Meetings. For pick up at the February 26th Business Meeting, please pre-order your shirt by Thursday, February 25th at 12 p.m. At this time, we do not have other pick-up or delivery options, so if you would like a T-shirt but cannot attend the meeting, please see if a colleague would be so kind as to pick your shirt up for you. T-shirts are light blue, with a dark blue CALL logo, and are available in sizes M, L, XL and XXL. They are $10 each, and require cash or check (exact amount only) at pick up. Please make checks out to the Chicago Association of Law Libraries and please do not combine your T-shirt payment with your meeting payment.
