Kudos to Recipients of AALL Awards, Scholarships, and Grants for 2007
Please join me in congratulating our colleagues listed below for their splendid accomplishments.
AALL AWARDS
The AALL Awards program provides public recognition for law librarians who have provided outstanding service or made important contributions to legal literature and materials.
This year's recipients of the Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Service Award and the Joseph L. Andrews Bibliographical Award were announced in an earlier message and profiles of them appear in the June issue of AALL Spectrum. Those awards will be presented at the Closing Banquet during the AALL Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
In addition, AALL has a number of other awards, and today I have the great privilege of announcing the 2007 recipients for each of them. For descriptions of the criteria for each award, see the AALL Awards Webpage.
Presentation of these awards will take place at appropriate times and locations throughout the Annual Meeting in New Orleans, as selected by the awarding entity. Names of all the winners will be displayed on sign boards in the registration area. Photos of the recipients being congratulated in person by me will be taken on Monday afternoon in the Exhibit Hall and will be projected on large screens during the Closing Banquet.
